Looking ahead: Solihull Moors F.C

Solihull Moors F.C

Manager: Liam McDonald

Nickname: The Moors

Ground: Damson Park (4313)

Position last season: 16th

Last season:

A tough season last time out but a solid one for the moors.
Solihull survived in the national league by just five points. The moors had a solid campaign winning nearly half of there games.
In the FA Trophy the moors' campaign was a short one. Solihull faced Matlock Town at Damson Park in the first round. Matlock pulled off a fantastic shock beating Solihull 2-1.
As for the FA Cup a solid campaign reaching the second round. Solihull saw off Kettering in the last qualifying round before beating Yeovil Town on penalties in the first round proper. Luton Town were just too much for the moors' in the second round. Luton were 6-2 winners in the end.

History:

The moors' were formed just nine years ago back in 2007. Since being formed Solihull have won two trophies. Most notably the National league north in the 2015-16 season. Despite this round two is as far as the moors have gone in both the FA Trophy and the FA Cup. Last time out Solihull recorded there biggest ever defeat away at Tranmere Rovers where they lost 9-0.

We look forward to facing the moors next season.
