Last season:
A solid campaign last time out for the wood that resulted in a mid table finish in the national league.
In the FA Trophy the wood reached the fourth round. In the first round Boreham Wood overcame Maidstone United in there first round replay. They then went on to face National league north side Alferton Town. The wood came out 2-1 winners and were drawn against Sutton United. Boreham Wood went on to beat Sutton United 5-0. Lincoln City proved too much for the wood as Lincoln came out 2-0 winners.
As for the FA Cup it was a short campaign as the wood only reached the first round proper. Boreham Wood beat Hendon in the fourth qualifying round 3-0 at Meadow Park. In the first round proper Notts County were the opposition. After holding them to a 2-2 draw at Meadow Park. The Wood didn't have enough to win in the replay as County won 2-0.
History:
The Wood were formed in 1948. Despite there 69 year history Boreham Wood do not have many honors to there name. The Wood's highest ever league finish was actually last time out when they finished 11th in the National league. Along with this the furthest the Wood have ever got in the FA Cup is the second round. They achieved this twice in back to back seasons. First in the 1996-97 season and again in the 1997-98 season.
We look forward to facing the wood next season.
